Facing Rejection as Followers of Jesus
"Facing Rejection as Followers of Jesus" | Mark 6:1-13
It seems like no matter how much "good" happens, there is always the bad or negative to take its place. No matter how much Jesus shows His power and does amazing things, there is always that group of people that are there to cast doubt or reject what God is doing. This week in Mark 6:1-13, we find Jesus going back to His hometown. This is His second (and final) trip back home and He is accompanied by His disciples. He teaches powerfully in the synagogue and even the people recognize the mighty works He has performed. But nevertheless, Jesus faces rejection amongst His very own people. Then as He sends the twelve disciples out to do ministry, even though He empowers them with great ability, He also must equip them to handle adversity and rejection. It goes to show that everything we face, Jesus has already faced it before us! Join us for this week's message that helps us when we are "Facing Rejection as Followers of Jesus"!
