Experiencing the Mountain Before the Valley | Mark 9:1-13

Sometimes we have to experience the valley in order to appreciate the mountain top. However, Jesus in Mark 9 takes three of His disciples up on the mountain and reveals His glory to them, along with appearances from Moses and Elijah, so they will be ready for the hard valley ahead of them. This highlight was a preview of Christ's future glory and a confirmation of His identity as the Son of God! His followers were brought close to show them the need to listen to Jesus, even amidst earthly hardships, and the importance of following his example in the face of suffering. In this account, Jesus them the importance of "Experiencing the Mountain Before the Valley"!
