Sacrifice of Extravagant Love | Mark 14:1-25

Love in our current culture can be fleeting or lacking commitment. In this weeks passage, Mark writes of a lady, Mary, who spares no cost to anoint Jesus. Her act of worship is extreme because of the costly perfume she "wasted", according to the disciples. However, she was expressing the value of Jesus and basically preparing Him for sacrifice He would become in just a few days. Following that, we find Mark showing us how Jesus prepared and instituted the Lord's Supper. All of this is leading into the passion week of Easter in which we witness a "Sacrifice of Extravagant Love"!
