The goodness of God guides the posture of our hearts before the Lord. Because of the greatness of God, our hearts should be turned towards Him, not away. How does that happen? Colossians 3 tells us to let the peace of God rule in our hearts, and be THANKFUL. It also says to let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. If all of these occur, then it will position the posture of our hearts to be in sincere worship before the Lord. This is how we develop a "Posture of ThankFULLness" in our everyday lives.
