Best friends. Unexpected grief. Overwhelming questions of why Jesus didn't come in time. In John 11, Mary and Martha send word to Jesus that His best friend is dying. They expected Jesus to react to their plea on their timeline. Jesus responded on His own terms. Not only did it bring Lazarus back to life, but He displayed His power and glory to many. It's not enough to just believe in Jesus. At some point in this life we have to TRUST Jesus. We have to place our faith in Him and what He offers through the gospel if we are to be saved. He is sufficient as "The Resurrection and the Life"!
